Ball Pool Tournament Guide

The following is a simple guide to running a 3-ball pool tournament.  As with the Basic Rules of Play that accompany
each 3-ball rack, tournament guidelines can be adjusted to suit the group.  Just be sure to announce any changes
BEFORE the tournament begins.

3 Rounds – Each player will shoot three (3) rounds.  A player’s combined score from each round played is their total
score.  The tournament winner is the player with the Lowest Total Score at the end of three (3) rounds.

Order of Play – (for all rounds) shall be in order of sign-up.  This makes score keeping easier.

Five Shots – To conserve time allowing everyone to play, five shots per round is the limit.  A player that does not
pocket the three object balls in five (5) shots shall receive a six (6) as their score for that round.

Racking – Using the 3-ball rack to insure a consistent and fair alignment of the three object balls, each player will rack
for the next player in the game.

Tie Game – It is not uncommon to have a tie game after three (3) rounds of play.  When this happens, those players
with a tie score shall play a Tie Breaker round to determine the winner.

As this is a process of elimination, only the players with tied scores will continue on with Tie Breaker rounds until one
player wins with the lowest score at the end of a round.
